MAREN (Marine Renewable Energy - Energy Extraction and Hydro-Environmental Aspects) is a project funded under the EU Atlantic Area Transnational Programme to investigate various aspects of tidal, wave and offshore wind energy. The Project is coordinated by researchers from Cardiff University, UK, and has Partners from Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal.
This end of project conference is being held in the College of Engineering and Informatics at the National University of Ireland, Galway on the 11th and 12th April 2013. The main objectives of the conference are to disseminate research findings to stakeholders and others interested parties. The conference will also host workshops to stimulate stakeholder debate in key areas.
Who should attend?
The MAREN conference will be of particular interest to academics and industry personnel engaged in marine renewable energy activities. The conference is also highly relevant to individuals involved in regulatory and planning aspects of marine renewable energy.
There is no fee for attending the conference, but as delegate numbers are limited it is necessary to register your intent to attend.
The conference proceedings will be videoed and made available for viewing from the project website.
