The 11th Irish Society of New Economists (ISNE) Conference
National University of Ireland, Galway
September 4th-5th, 2014
The National University of Ireland Galway, J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics is delighted to host the 11th Irish Society of New Economists (ISNE) Conference from the 4th to 5th of September, 2014.
The ISNE was formed to encourage research, information and social links among new economists in Ireland and Europe. The annual conference is intended for advanced Masters, PhD level students, and young professionals in the early stages of research. Eligibility to present has nothing to do with age. We strongly encourage those working on economics-related research in all settings to submit.
We have an excellent conference programme with presentations from 77 economists representing 33 Universities and research organizations throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe, the United States and Kuwait. The topics range from banking, financial markets, macroeconomics and economic growth to health economics, social well-being, education, employment, crime and energy and marine. In particular, the research findings are of considerable importance to addressing public policy issues such as enchancing future regional growth, inequality, unemployment, the Irish energy system, healthy food choices and obesity. Additionally, a social event will be organized. There will be two keynote speech sessions featuring distinguished academics: Professor Ciaran O’ Neill (NUIG) and Professor John Fitzgerald (ESRI).

We look forward to meeting you in Galway
