Learning Technologies: from Pilot to Mainstream
5th Annual Teaching and Learning Conference
to be held at NUI Galway, Galway, Ireland
7th and 8th June 2007
Note: Abstract Submission has now closed.
Aimed at academic staff (and also suitable for learning support staff) in higher education, this conference will focus on practical issues in the implementation and use of a range of technologies, providing insight into emerging “good practice,” real world challenges and future potential. Our emphasis will be on teaching and learning, rather than technical issues and through a series of presentations, discussions and practical sessions we hope to be able to share experience and nurture networks of practitioners.
One of our primary aims for this year’s event is to promote discussion and debate around practical and educational issues. In addition, we'd like to expose participants to a range of established and emerging technologies.
Rather than issue a general call for papers spanning all areas, we would like to invite you to consider attending the conference with a view to participating in discussion and demonstration events.
However, if you have some work, related to the conference themes, which you would like to present then there will be a limited number of opportunities for short oral presentations. A preferred option would be to submit an abstract for a poster. We intend to have a poster display across the conference venue, schedule poster discussion sessions and award prizes for the best posters.
