Surrogacy: Forging a Legal and Policy Framework for Ireland is an interdisciplinary conference to be hosted at NUIG by the School of Law on Saturday, 12th March 2016.

Keynote speakers are leading child psychologist Professor Susan Golombok, Director of the Centre for Family Research at Cambridge University. Prof. Golombok is a leading authority on the family, having studied the subject extensively for over 35 years. She is the author of Modern Families: Parents and Children in New Family Forms (Cambridge University Press, 2015).

The other keynote speaker is Dr Kirsty Horsey, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Kent. Dr. Horsey is a member of the Surrogacy UK Working Group on Surrogacy Law Reform and the author of the group’s recently-released report “Surrogacy in the UK: Myth busting and reform.”
