Presented by: Dr. Elspeth McCartney, University of Strathclyde, Scotland
Topic: Speech and language therapists and teachers working together: models, and social relationships.
Overview of Event
As speech and language therapists move closer to working with schools, service models and service demands can change. Ideally, closer working relationships should result in better and more extensive language and communication experiences for pupils with speech, language and communication needs, and better support for their families. However, negotiating, developing and managing services in a shared context requires complex interactions, and clarity about responsibilities, good practice, and roles.
The learning event is designed as an interactive, scenario-based seminar.
