FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS

Following the success of the first call for papers for this year’s ISTR conference, the organisers wish to invite proposals for 20-minute papers that explore the conference theme (described below) or any other area of Irish theatre, past and present. To date, we have accepted paper proposals on many areas, including the following topics:
Ø Blue Raincoat
Ø Consciousness and contemporary Irish theatre’
Ø D’Arcy and Arden’s The Non-Stop Connolly Show*.
Ø Feminism and Irish Drama
Ø Gary Mitchell and Northern Irish Drama Ø Independent Irish theatre* Ø Louise Lowe and Anu Productions Ø Performativity and Place Ø Philosophy and theatre Ø Queer Performance in Contemporary Irish Theatre*.
Ø Regional Irish Theatre: Waterford, Sligo, Galway* Ø Sam Shepard and American drama Ø The Drama of Enda Walsh* Ø The Gate Theatre* Ø The plays of Brian Friel Ø The theatre of John B. Keane Ø The theatre of Yeats
We especially welcome more proposals on the subjects marked with an asterisk above, though proposals on any topic are very welcome.
