Dr Robin Yabroff MBA PhD
Dr Yabroff is an epidemiologist in the Health Services and Economics Brach at the National Cancer Institute, USA. Prior to joining the NCI, Dr Yabroff was an Assistant Professor in the Lombardi Cancer Center, Georgetown University. She is the author of over 80 peer reviewed journal articles. She currently associate editor for the Journal of National Cancer Institute and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Cancer Survivorship. Dr Yabroff is leading a collaborative effort to improve publically available data for estimating the burden of Cancer in the US
Dr Mauro Laudicella PhD
Dr Laudicella is currently a Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Policy in Imperial College London Business School. He has previously worked as a Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York. His research focuses on the performance of healt care providers and their response to policy incentives. His work has been has published in the Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics and Social Science and Medicine.
Dr Anirban Basu PhD
Dr Basu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Services & (PORPP) Department of Economics at the University of Washington. Prior to his appointment at UW, Dr Basu was on the faculty at the University of Chicago. His research on has published over 60 journal articles in areas including health economics, quality of life, comparative evaluations, econometric methods, and cancer. He was awarded the 2009 Bernie O’Brien new investigator award by ISPOR. He is an associate editor for the Journal of Health Economics and Health Economics.
Professor Bengt Jonsson PhD
Professor Jonsson is Professor for Health Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. He has been an advisor or consultant to the WHO, OECD and UNIDO. He is a past President of the international Health Economics Association (iHEA) and has published over 200 peer reviewed journal articles. His work concentrates on health economics, cost effectiveness, health technology assessment, cancer and new oncology drugs. He has sat on many editorial boards and is currently on the editorial board of the European Journal of Health Economics.
Professor John Fitzpatrick FRCSI FEBU FRCS
Professor Fitzpatrick is the Head of Research at the Irish Cancer Society. He was a urologist at St Peters Hospital London and was previously Professor of Surgery and Consultant Urologist at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and University College Dublin and a senior lecturer at Trinity College London. Professor Fitzpatrick will be responsible for developing a strategic plan for cancer research and will co-ordinate research efforts throughout Ireland. He has over 80 academic journals and publications and was the Editor-in-Chief of the BJU International and was on the editorial board of 25 other journals.
Dr Linda Sharp PhD
Dr Sharp is the Senior Epidemiologist at the National Cancer Registry Ireland. Dr Sharp has been a researcher on a broad range of topics, across a range of cancers, including cancer in Ireland and the economic burden related to cancer diagnosis. She has published over 100 peer reviewed academic journal articles, predominantly on cancer and has received grants from the Health Research Board, Medical Research Council and the NHS.
Professor Michael Kerin FRCSI FRSCGen
Professor Kerin is the Head of the Discipline of Surgery at NUI Galway and a Consultant Surgeon at Galway University Hospital. He was previously consultant Surgeon at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College Dublin. He has been awarded 2 Patey Prizes at the Surgical Research Society of Great Britain and Ireland. He has published over 200 peer reviewed journal articles on surgery across a range of cancer, predominantly on breast cancer. He is the Principal Investigator at the Clinical Research Facility, Galway University Hospital.
