Travel to Galway

Galway is a major tourist attraction on the West Coast of Ireland, there are many well-developed transport options available. Our city is easily reached by air, ferry, bus, train, car or a combination of these.  For further details on air, road and train routes click here.

In keeping with our concept of ‘healthy meeting’ why not consider a bike ride to campus for our conference!  What an uplifting way to start your day!  Remember any form of ‘active travel’ leaves us energised and alert. There will be plenty of opportunities for stretch breaks, walking meetings and other healthy conference options throughout the conference day.

Galway city's bike rental scheme is available all year 7 days a week, from 5am to 12.30am for short or long cycle trips. Visitors to Galway can avail of a ‘3 Day pass’ further details can be found on:  https://www.bikeshare.ie/register-temp.html

There is a Bikeshare station at the Kingfisher Leisure Centre on campus, a 3 minute walk from the conference venue.
