Papers submitted should focus on the following themes:
• Family Support – all aspects.
• Building Social Capital.
• Cost benefits to Short Breaks
• Innovation and Creativity
• Rights Based Approach
• Short Breaks/Respite across populations
The discussions and content of the conference will enrich the delegates with inspiration, knowledge and research in relation to the delivery, quality and cost effectiveness of Short Breaks/Respite.
Specifically, the conference delegates will acquire knowledge and inspiration about how and why one can and should explore the clients and their families in relation to what they receive as their service delivery.
Criteria for selection:
Abstracts and papers of sufficient academic standard will be considered by the Conference Organising Committee according to their relevance to the themes and topics of the conference.
The conference is seen as an opportunity for innovative thinking. Work in progress, that is - papers intended as a means of opening up discussion on new approaches to the understanding of the subject – are welcome.
