Accommodation

There are a variety of types of accommodation available in Galway but as June is a busy time of year we would recommend that conference attendees make bookings as soon as possible.

The following are some suggestions:

 

Self Catering

Corrib Village, the NUI Galway student accommodation, is available to visitors during the summer months.

Single standard (sharing bathroom with 3/4 others in the apartment) 35 per night, bed and continental breakfast.

Single en-suite (own bathroom available) 50 per night, bed and continental breakfast.

We have arranged conference rates with a few hotels, as follows. Please note that reservations should be made before 10th May and that there are a limited number of these rooms available.

Glenlo Abbey Hotel is a private 138-acre estate on the banks of Lough Corrib, situated 4 km outsie the city centre and only a 3 minute drive from the university.

Bed and Breakfast/Guesthouses

(NUIG is within walking distance (10-20 mins) of most areas in Galway City Centre, while areas nearer the university itself include Newcastle and Shantalla; places such as Salthill are further out though still walkable.)
