Mindfulness and Values in ACT, June 15, 2011
Attendees

The workshop is designed primarily to train psychologists, CBT therapists, mental health providers and other health care providers, or students who are enrolled in a degree program that results in such a role. Many others, such as meditation teachers, yoga teachers, educators, administrators, and business persons have attended the workshops in the past. This workshop is not designed to provide personal treatment so please donít register for it in order to seek treatment.

Learning Objectives

Learning objectives will be taught through both direct teaching and through the use of clinical examples. By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • Describe the rationale and empirical support for values and mindfulness interventions.
  • Use ACT values interventions to motivate client change and to foster a strong working alliance.
  • Use new values and commitment interventions and use acceptance and mindfulness interventions that compliment them.
  • Use new values/mindfulness worksheets and homework assignments.

All attendees will receive a certificate of completion and CPD credits.
